Forum Rules and Regulations
Hey ya'll! Break The Age here, and welcome to our happy family!
On this forum we can openly discuss topics related to the Gemini Project as well as watch fan dubbed episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters uncut without fear of copyright attack (hopefully) but in order for us to stay a happy family we need order, and to command order we need to have rules. Yeah I know, rules can suck but they're a necessary thing to keep things as less toxic as possible and keep everyone happy and comfortable!
Here's how it will work, we will be splitting into two categories of offences. There will be minor offences and major offences.
Please be sure to read these rules before posting as ignorance will not be a valid excuse.
Minor Offences - For each violation in this category you will be given a strike, and as the saying goes "3 strikes and you're out!". The minor offence rules are as follows.
1. Harassment - Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. This goes for sexual, religious, racial and gendered harassment as well. We're all for a good debate as long as it's productive but when people start throwing insults that's when it stops being a debate and it turns into petty squabble. For example: If a mature debate is suddenly derailed by one person throwing insults and just turning it into an unpleasant situation then that person will receive a message and a strike. Poking fun or joking at someone else's expense is fine too as long as it's all in good fun but there is such a thing as taking it too far so just be aware of that. This will also include flaming and trolling if that wasn't already obvious.
2. Spamming - Basically this is when you make a pointless topic with clear intent to not start a conversation and just take up space. We like to be orderly here so if you're seen making a thread that serves no purpose whatsoever your thread will be deleted and you will receive a message and a strike. This also includes making multiple posts in a single thread when no one else is posting, whether for jollies or not that will also give you a message and a strike.
3. Multiple Accounts - There is absolutely no reason for any one person to have more than one account. If you'd like your name changed you can contact me or any of the other forum staff and we can change it for you. If we find out you have more than one account we will ban the second account and send your original account a message and a strike.
4. Swearing/Cursing - A little adult language is fine every now and then on the boards, but seeing as how young teenagers will likely be a part of our community we believe we should keep the bad language to a PG-13 limit. Anyone caught swearing beyond that restriction will have the offending post removed and they will receive a message and a strike. Sailor talk through private messaging is all good however and it won't get you in trouble. I should also mention that pictures with curse words on them do count, so if you're going to post something that goes beyond the PG-13 limit be sure to censor it first.
Major Offences - Violations of any of these rules will have you banned on the spot! No strike, no message, no warning, you're just gone! This is necessary to keep out the riff raff and people looking to just offend others. This shouldn't apply to most of you but you should read them anyway so you can report them to us when they do crop up. The major offences are as follows.
1. Posting Advertisements - We are not a hub for you to peddle whatever you're selling. If the only reason you're here is to sell your snake oil then we're not having you.
2. Pornography - This should be self explanatory. Do not post any videos that contain sex, nudity or sexual "fluids" of any kind. This also includes nude videos or pictures of yourself. If for any reason a picture you post has genitalia or anything considered pornography and you didn't know it was there until you posted it we can overlook it as long as you remove the picture and your case seems solid.
3. Illegal Activity - Illegal actions such as sharing pirated content, child pornography or just things that break the laws of any country you inhabit. This also includes depictions of illegal drugs that you may have on your avatar or signature.
To sum up everything above just use common sense and be a decent human being and you will be welcome to post on these forums. Thank you and have fun!
